About

Norbert Koenner

Trumpet Reworks

The concept of trumpet-reworks which are presented live as trumpet-dj is to create new, vibrant and unique music based on a fine selection of chillout, electronic and deep house tracks. The human sound of a smooth trumpet, damped or unmuted and enhanced via fine electronics adds vibrant highlights to any special event. With a keen sense for the situation and inspired by the adequate choice of music I create a special atmosphere, where people feel relaxed, warm and welcome and get ready to party.

My music is always unique, because it is performed live and it is improvised live. The trumpet parts are not pre plotted and always adapted to the event carefully. Lyrical melodies presented in excellent sound quality enhance the pieces of music in itself and boost the atmosphere to a higher level.

I do perform worldwide on private and business events of any size, on parties, in clubs, discotheques, on fairs, anniversaries, golf events, yachts, receptions, weddings and all kinds of festivities.

Welcome to my website and enjoy the audio samples!

Trumpet Reworks

My concept has been proven very successful at all kind of events. At any event, the guests are to be offered something new and unique. An eye-catcher that creates a lot of atmosphere and inspires the guests. Different age groups and tastes should feel comfortable. The structure and appearance should be integrated into the overall concept of the event. This is exactly what the Trumpet DJ offers. With a clean, attractive design in a limited space and appropriate clothing, the Trumpet DJ concept fits every event. Whether as a stimulating background or to heat up the party.

Also the engagement of further musicians and a larger band is possible. You can find sound samples at www.fouram.de. The strength of this band is a cool jazz sound, interpreted in a modern and smooth way. This is a relaxed listening experience. Just contact me and I will make an individual proposal for your event.

For bars and restaurants, I have a wide selection of chillier and more rhythmic lounge music available. Together with a subtle volume of the trumpet and the music system, this is the perfect base to create a relaxed feel-good atmosphere. The trumpet can be damped to any desired volume by the use of different dampers. My soft, natural sound connects with the music to a unit. This creates a warm and yet "cool" atmosphere as it is not possible without live music.

From a loungy attunement with slow paced beats to house, disco and chill out, I create the right atmosphere for all kinds of parties. The occasionally played trumpet forms individual highlights. My goal is to get all the party guests in the best mood so they can enjoy the evening. I especially pay attention to high sound quality. This contributes significantly to a great party and is often underestimated. Cheap DJ equipment often with lousy digital-analogue-converters, inferior music files and loudspeakers, as well as unsuitable software programs dramatically reduce the sound quality. This effect increases with increasing volume. Not least to show the fine sound of the trumpet well, I put on a system with high-quality components and guarantee you such a great sound quality.

Marriage ceremony

No other instrument radiates more festive and arouses more emotions at the wedding ceremony! Solo or together with the (church) organ it is an unforgettable experience. I play classic baroque or modern and accompany church songs. My classical trumpet training and over three decades of experience guarantee a unique wedding ceremony.

Champagne Reception and Dinner

Here cool jazz offers itself as an elegant setting in an unforgettable evening. The music remains unobtrusively quiet and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The repertoire consists of cool jazz and lounge classics. The trumpet, together with the mixed music, creates the impression of a live-playing band.

Wedding Party

My music is very danceable for all generations. With my intuition as a musician, I look very much at how the mood and preferences evolve over the evening and respond accordingly. The high sound quality of my system guarantees a great party without boom basses and screeching high tones.

The engagement of a larger band is possible. You can find sound samples on www.fouram.de. The strength of this band is a cool jazz sound that is interpreted in a modern and smooth way. This is a relaxed listening experience. Just contact to me and I'll make an individual proposal for your wedding.

Playing along with the DJs in clubs and discos is one of my likes. The repertoire is coordinated beforehand. But since an evening sometimes runs differently than planned it is often improvised. And that is my strength. I can improvise live to most DJ sets and styles and to all chords. Always in the places where the trumpet fits well, I play spontaneously with the DJ, even without having heard the music or the special mix before! I use professional in ear monitoring and effect machines to guarantee the best sound in every location.

I would also like to organize exclusive concerts for you and your guests in your private or business premises. The program will be coordinated with you in advance. A lot of titles are available in the jazz and latin section. The background band can be played from recordings or live. Classical concerts with piano accompaniment are also possible. Of course, the repertoire of chill out and lounge tunes right up to electronic, dance, house or disco can also be arranged.

Go for the High End option for a incomparable listening experience! In this case I play the music and live trumpet through a high-end stereo system. A system from the UK manufacturer LINN plays music digitally in better quality than every CD player, and with the appropriate file format also up to studio master quality. Combined with high-end stereo speakers and the live trumpet, this combination offers a sensationally clean sound. Experience a concert sound of unique clarity.

I perform as a soloist, as part of a horn section and for recordings of all kinds. I do favor chill out, lounge, electronic and house, but also funk, soul, pop and most kinds of jazz.

"Koenners Music: Jazzy sounding club sounds from bossa to dance. A nice, pleasant mixture for chilling. All pieces are chosen according to their ability that Koenner can play his instrument as if it had always been on the recording. He uses the freerooms to improvise about it .... Much later, there are still some people there, with the program of the jazz and classical days in hand, the drink has long been emptied, but they are still there. Talking to each other or simply listening. They have got the bug, without realizing it, and helped Koenner to achieve a goal he had set himself: "People should ask themselves why they stayed so long." Whether it be lounge or deep house, whether it is funk, soul or jazz - Koenner always finds music with a steady groove to which he is able to fit a solo.“
Schwäbisches Tagblatt
„… with excellent trumpet solo parts performed by Norbert Koenner.“
Westdeutsche Zeitung
„‚Summertime‘, performed by Norbert Koenner with a captivating mellow sound, convinced also with some pin sharp melody lines.“
Rheinische Post
„The diamond of this concert was undisputed Norbert Koenner´s heartfelt interpretation of Dizzy Gillespies ‚A Night In Tunisia‘ on solo trumpet, intoxicating and cool, with the soul of Bebop“

We have received a lot of praise and positive feedback from our guests, and we would be delighted if you would also play at our next fair. We will contact you shortly as soon as the date is fixed. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon. Please feel free to share my feedback and contact details with people interested in booking your concept."
Mrs. S. Marketing / PR
"Hello Mr. Koenner, I was allowed to get to hear you last week at the Ministry of Economics in Berlin and was enthusiastic about your music. Can these be bought via internet or on a data carrier?"
Mr. W., ARD
„Hello Mr. Koenner, I have spoken to a number of guests who all were very enthusiastic about your music, and if there is a celebration, I will definitely come back to you."
Mrs. S., CEO
"Dear Mr. Koenner, I am really enthusiastic about your audio samples. SUPER!, the newer songs I have especially liked. Can I buy these as a CD or as an mp3? You should make these available for a fee on the net. For one of the next company parties I will keep you in mind!"
Mr. M.
„I have played with lots of solo musicians on stage but never have heard a similar flexibility in improvising to common and new song material. While most musicians came with their studied and fixed melodies, Norbert is able to improvise freely over any material. That fits much better into the DJ sets, which have to be flexible, dependent on the evenings special atmosphere."
DJ Romano
"Dear Norbert, we would like to thank you again for your sensational performance in the church and as a trumpet DJ at the champagne reception. We had a wonderful celebration, also thanks to you!"

"Hello Mr. Koenner, thank you very much for your performance at our fair event, your music has arrived very well, you have hit exactly the mood of the party guests and I would look forward to a repeat."
Angelika, Head of PR
"Dear Norbert, we were very happy to listen to your chilly background music with trumpet, which was very well received by us and our guests, so the room was always pleasantly flooded with music, and afterwards it was such a hot dance party! The best dance award went to Tobi - the super sweaty dancer who you have been working on for more than 3 hours! It does not get any better. Many thanks and Best Regards."

Norbert Koenner works as trumpeter and DJ (www.trumpet-dj.com) and solo trumpeter for different jazz bands and stands for a soft and rhythmic sound at trumpet and flugelhorn. More than 30 years of experience with both instruments in various occupations and on different occasions form his basis. Thereof 7 years of classical music education and over 30 years of jazz with hundreds of concerts and workshops with well known artists nationally and internationally.

Norbert mixes a warm sound of trumpet and flugelhorn live with lounge, chill-out music, club grooves, deep house, dance and electronic but also with jazz and pop. With a great sense for the situation he generates - always unique and live improvised - a very rhythmic sound with individual loops, which changes with sensitive spacey melodies and surface sounds. Thus the music is supplemented by a strong "human sound". This lifts exciting moments and delivers the highlights for a highly emotional evening. The trumpet is so integrated into the music that everything sounds as if it were from a single cast, as if the music title had always sounded like this.

Norbert: "My goal is to create an atmosphere through the performance in which the guests feel more comfortable, more relaxed and have more fun. In doing so, I see my performances as highlights within the atmosphere to be created. The trumpet-dj.com concept is very successful on different occasions, as the many positive feedbacks show. But above all, trumpet playing is my passion and it makes me a huge fun to play and that comes just over to the audience.“

12. Legal basis for the processing

Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, as is the case, for example, when processing operations are necessary for the supply of goods or to provide any other service, the processing is based on Article 6(1) lit. b GDPR. The same applies to such processing operations which are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures, for example in the case of inquiries concerning our products or services. Is our company subject to a legal obligation by which processing of personal data is required, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6(1) lit. c GDPR. In rare cases, the processing of personal data may be necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor were injured in our company and his name, age, health insurance data or other vital information would have to be passed on to a doctor, hospital or other third party. Then the processing would be based on Art. 6(1) lit. d GDPR. Finally, processing operations could be based on Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR. This legal basis is used for processing operations which are not covered by any of the abovementioned legal grounds, if processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data. Such processing operations are particularly permissible because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator. He considered that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a client of the controller (Recital 47 Sentence 2 GDPR).

13. The legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party

Where the processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR our legitimate interest is to carry out our business in favor of the well-being of all our employees and the shareholders.

14. Period for which the personal data will be stored

The criteria used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.

15. Provision of personal data as statutory or contractual requirement; Requirement necessary to enter into a contract; Obligation of the data subject to provide the personal data; possible consequences of failure to provide such data

We clarify that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or can also result from contractual provisions (e.g. information on the contractual partner). Sometimes it may be necessary to conclude a contract that the data subject provides us with personal data, which must subsequently be processed by us. The data subject is, for example, obliged to provide us with personal data when our company signs a contract with him or her. The non-provision of the personal data would have the consequence that the contract with the data subject could not be concluded. Before personal data is provided by the data subject, the data subject must contact any employee. The employee clarifies to the data subject whether the provision of the personal data is required by law or contract or is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether there is an obligation to provide the personal data and the consequences of non-provision of the personal data.

16. Existence of automated decision-making

As a responsible company, we do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.

This Privacy Policy has been generated by the Privacy Policy Generator of the External Data Protection Officers that was developed in cooperation with the Media Law Lawyers from WBS-LAW.
